Division 188 is the first line of defense along Israel’s Northern border in the Golan Heights. Their remarkable story of defending Israel’s borders in 1973 stands out in history, for they faced hundreds of Syrian tanks with only a handful of tanks and against all odds kept driving back their enemy.
It was October 6, 1973, during Yom Kippur, the holiest day of the Jewish calendar; a Syrian armored force of 1,400 tanks backed by more than 1,000 artillery pieces with supporting air power began a coordinated assault along the 36-mile-long Israeli border in the Southern Golan Heights in the North of Israel. Division 188 earned a place in the history of modern day Israel for their part in the amazing victory during this war in defense of Israeli borders. Armored Division 188 rose from the ashes of apparent defeat after 90% of their brigade was destroyed in battle with the Syrian forces. One week later, with only five tanks remaining, Division 188 joined the reserve army and together they pushed the Syrian forces back to their original position inside Syria. As the Syrian force began to collapse and Israel’s reserves mobilized, the Israel reserve army lead by the remains of Division 188 moved into Syrian soil, stopping just 30 miles outside of Damascus creating one of the most outstanding Israeli battle victories in all of history. Selfless acts of bravery by the remaining tanks of Division 188 together with the Israel Defense Forces’ reserves prevented the Syrians from capturing the Golan Heights and threatening the northern borders of Israel.
Israel is in desperate search for peace, but still there are many countries in the region that cannot accept the simple fact that the Jewish people have returned to their ancient homeland after 2,000 years. Israel must remain alert and be ready to defend her borders at any given moment. Just as Proverbs 21:30-31 says, “No human wisdom or understanding or plan can stand against the Lord. The horse is prepared for the day of battle, but the victory belongs to the Lord.”
Sight and clear vision are a crucial and critical part of any battle and requires the ability to recognize danger and quickly respond in defensive actions. By providing each solider in Division 188 with a pair of protective military glasses we help them protect and shield their eyes, enhance their vision and demonstrate our strong Love and Support for those that stand on the front lines in defense of Israel’s borders.
LoveIsrael.com, believes Proverbs 20:12, “Ears to hear and eyes to see—both are gifts from the Lord.” We are asking every Lover of Israel to join us in giving clear vision for every solider in Division 188. For only one-dollar-a-day, less than the price of soft drink, you can provide a solider protective eye wear that will give them “eyes to see” and together, as watchmen on the wall, we will all shout and sing with joy as we watch God deliver Israel from the hands of her enemies.
“I will turn toward you, make you productive, increase your numbers and uphold my covenant with you.” (Leviticus 26:9)
We would like our donation to be used for what is most pressing for Israel right now. God bless you all richly! Moshe, we love you and your people and continue to pray that God’s mighty hand of strength and protection be upon all of us who love HIm, in these final days. Praise God!
Very blessed to visit with you and do a bit of touring. Blessings you, your family and to my home away from home, the beautiful land of Israel! #LoveIsraelTour2016
I planted a tree with Israel Olive Bond last year. This past Thursday I received my package of oil. I was so excited to open the beautiful box and look inside to see my first bottle. I’m very impressed at the high quality of this product. The oil is delicious. The book that was included is well illustrated and informative. It talks about the different types of olive trees in Israel, the history of them in the land and even the health benefits of it. I am impressed at what I have received for my donation.
I am so glad that I have been able to contribute to the well being of the Israeli people. It has been a true honor to have this bond. I hope someday to visit my tree and the ministry.
My husband and I are beekeepers and have some hives at a nearby farm. As my gratitude, I would love to share our honey jar with you and your ministry. It was a blessing to be able to speak with you on the phone. I keep Israel in my prayers and your ministry.
Moshe thank you for this wonderful Israel experience. I have been blessed and have learned so much while here. I can’t wait to come back. #LoveIsraelTour2016
We have received our Olive Tree Bond package, words cannot express the Connection and Love we feel to Israel knowing that an Olive Tree is growing with our names represented. We know that Love and Care will be taken for growing the Trees because God’s children will be taking care of them.
watch Isreal Now News, along with Christian Broadcasting Network with Pat Robinson. CBN will give our Nation the news that is happening around the world and in Israel that our local National News stations will not.
The Bond package is Beautiful
God place his Blessings on the World
I was just thinking of Israel along with friends and acquaintences who live there. You came to mind. I wanted you to know I pray for Israel daily, as a watchman on the wall, and many times your face comes before me, and I lift you up before His throne too.
You have friends standing with you my friend!
Hi Moshe BarZvi I was just thinking of Israel along with friends and acquaintances who live there. You came to mind. I wanted you to know I pray for Israel daily, as a watchman on the wall, and many times your face comes before me, and I lift you up before His throne too. You have friends standing with you my friend!
I wanted to let you know I received the box containing the information regarding the planting of our olive tree in Israel. It was worth the wait! I was actually taken back by the certificate, location information of the tree, the book and oil containers. Very high quality!
Now that we have received our information concerning the planting of our first olive tree, my plan is to continue planting through your ministry, so as we continue to receive the information when trees are planted, at that time, we will plant more.
We will also be sure to tell others.
