“Yes, the cry of the people of Israel has come to me, and I have seen how terribly the Egyptians oppress them. Therefore, now, come; and I will send you to Pharaoh; so that you can lead my people, the descendants of Israel, out of Egypt.” (Exodus 3:9-10)

Dear Lovers of Israel, I am writing to you from Jerusalem, The City of God, the eternal capital of the Jewish people, a city never divided again. Just hours before the great holiday of Pesach, (Passover) begins the appointed time of the year the Jewish people celebrate their magnificent passage from Egypt to the Holy Land and their remarkable departure from slavery to freedom.

Since 2011 when the Syrian conflict began 470,000 Syrian civilians have died, not including thousands of other victims that have died either in battle against ISIS or at the hand of terrorists globally. The recent chemical attack in Syria that killed 74 (16 women and 23 children) and left over 350 wounded was evident that Syria did not destroy its chemical-weapons stockpile back in 2014. In 2016, 13.5 million Syrians required assistance to survive with 6 million internally displaced within Syria and outside of Syria its worse with over 4.8 million refugees as of 2017. With so many human lives lost and homes destroyed in the name of hate and brutality, we who are free should no longer stand silent without solutions or a way out. Indeed, US President Trump this week did take a stand against lawless brutality in a strong measured response to stop the delivery of any further chemical weapon attacks against the Syrian people, it’s a very good start but will it bring an end to the madness?

These days we are living in are dramatic times and things change quickly sometimes daily. We are witnessing a time when people call sweet bitter and bitter sweet. (Isaiah 5:20) We watch World leaders ego’s rise above their own people’s basic needs and nations boldly criticizing and challenging Israel’s right to exist. Our answer is in Daniel 12:9-10, “But HE said, “Go your way, Daniel; for these words are to remain secret and sealed until the time of the end. Many will purify, cleanse and refine themselves; but the wicked will keep on acting wickedly, and none of the wicked will understand. But those with discernment will understand.”

We His people do understand and are never without hope for we hold the keys to prayer, His Word and we believe His unfailing Love toward us. We TRUST HIM and know it is HE who holds our future. “At the beginning I announce the end, proclaim in advance things not yet done; and I say that my plan will hold, I will do everything I please to do.” (Isaiah 46:10)

Consider the Hebrew term CHESHBON NEFESH, scrutiny of the soul, which means to take an account of the soul (mind, will, emotions). It describes the process of meditating on whether or not you have departed from slavery to freedom within your life. As humans, we all face problems and issues in life and achieving freedom through self-improvement and character refinement helps but true freedom comes when our spirits are free first, our soul and body are sure to follow. Now where the Spirit of Adonai is, there is freedom. (2 Corinthians 3:17)
Please join me in prayers during Pesach for our beloved Israel and the Jewish people as we celebrate freedom from bondage and our return to our eternal homeland. “Let the people of Israel observe Pesach at its designated time.” (Numbers 9:2) Lovers of Israel, you who are obedient, “The Best is yet to come” for He will bless those that bless Israel and His blessings are beyond anything you could ever think or image. (Genesis 12:3)

Blessings upon you and yours,
Shalom Shalom and Chag Sameach,
