Therefore, I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer,
trust that you are receiving it, and it will be yours. (Mark 11:24)

Silence deafens young ears…

Dear Lovers of Israel, greetings from Jerusalem the eternal capital city of the Jewish people.

It is in my heart to share with you today the horrible results of the war in Syria. In fact, I wrote to you several times in the past about this horrific war and its possible risk over our world’s safety. It seem I did not even come close to evaluating the catastrophic impact and the size of destruction in Syria and among the Syrian people. This is far beyond tragic.

Today the results are staggering 470,000 Syrians have died and 1.9 million wounded meaning 11.5% of the Syrian population having either died or been wounded since the war erupted in March 2011. In addition to this tragedy, 45% of the Syrian population displaced as 6.4 million Syrians lost their homes and another 4 million fled abroad – most of them headed to Europe. About 14 million have lost jobs in a country torn apart under 255 billion dollars of damage to Syria’s GNP (Gross National Product).

My heart is broken for the victims but also for the world’s silence. It is amazing to see that many leaders around the world still think that the main issue in our world today is the Israeli-Palestinian conflict while a major genocide is taking place in front of our eyes as hundreds of thousands of Sunni and Shiites are killing each other in one of the horrific bloodshed conflicts in the modern history. I can clearly share with you that the world is a step away from WWIII and having written this to you in past, it grows closer with each passing day.

Turkey and Saudi Arabia are now planning to take an active role in Syria and this would be a war declaration against Russia, Syria and Iran. Remember that Turkey is a member of NATO. This is a critical time, under the ripples of the USA is not acting as a global leader under the Obama Administration. Many European countries now face the results of the millions of Muslims who immigrated to Europe. If the world does not stop the escalation and emergence of the splintered religious wars between the Sunni and Shiite, these wars will draw the world into WWIII whether we want it or not.

I call upon each one of you to pray for wisdom among World Leaders, all those seeking to bring peace to this world in war-torn areas. The most powerful weapon against darkness is prayer, pouring out of a humble heart as His Holy Word is declared.

Please join me in praying for all of victims who have died in Syria. Pray for an immediate cease-fire so people would stop killing each other in the name of Allah or for any other Sunni or Shiite religious reason. Then through prayer, embrace the children living in war and bless them.

Meanwhile, together we continue to walk across our bridge of unity empowered by His Grace and Love and find comfort through prayer as we prosper by praying for the peace of Jerusalem for it is written, “Pray for shalom (peace) in Yerushalayim (Jerusalem); may those who love you prosper.” (Psalm 122:6)

Blessings upon you and yours from Jerusalem,

Moshe Bar Zvi
